📝 Registration Procedure – Mid-Lent Parade 2026

  1. Online Registration: Registrations must be completed on this page through the official website of the Ducato di Piazza Pontida: ducatodipiazzapontida.it.
    During the registration process, it is mandatory to upload a representative photo of the float or group in JPG or PDF format.
  2. Deadlines: Registrations must be completed by Sunday, March 17, at 6:00 PM. After this date and time, the online registration system on this page will be deactivated.
  3. Participation Fee: During online registration, a participation fee is required. The payment methods are specified on the official website.
  4. Assistance: In case of difficulties filling out the form or completing the payment, please contact the organizers by email at webmaister@ducatodipiazzapontida.it or by phone at 340 3471521 (Mauro) and 333 3635749 (Massimo), available from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  5. In-Person Assistance: On the following dates — March 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, and 14, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM — a representative will be available at the Ducato di Piazza Pontida headquarters, located in Piazza Pontida No. 41, Bergamo, exclusively to provide information regarding participation in the Saturday and Sunday events (tel. 035/210275) and to accept registrations from representative groups of other nations as specified below.
    During office hours, the same phone number (035/210275) will always be active, and a staff member will be available to provide all necessary information.
  6. Acceptance of Registrations: Admission to the event is at the sole and unquestionable discretion of the committee appointed by the Ducato di Piazza Pontida. As the event is primarily focused on local tradition and history, non-native groups or those representing other nations or ethnicities may be accepted in a maximum number of one or two groups or floats, based on the criteria established by each community. The Ducato di Piazza Pontida reserves the right not to accept additional registrations from foreign groups or floats presenting the same type of performance content. For this reason, all musical and artistic elements must be declared in advance at the time of registration. Registrations for foreign groups will close on March 10, 2026, exclusively for these participants.

📍 Registration for Foreign Groups

Floats and folk groups representing other nations must register exclusively at the headquarters of the Ducato di Piazza Pontida, located in Piazza Pontida 41, Bergamo. Online registrations are not valid for these groups, and any payments made online will be refunded. A representative will be available from March 1 to March 16, Monday to Friday, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, to provide information and accept registrations.

In addition to the prizes listed above, the top three floats and top three groups will receive a Fazzini linen set worth €250–€300, offered by Pietro Teani of the Fazzini Store at Orio Center.

Orio Center Gift Card Award
All groups and/or floats participating in the parade that have duly paid the registration fee will receive, on Sunday, March 23, at the time of registration in Piazzale Marconi, a €50 Orio Center Gift Card, to be used in the 280 shops of the shopping center.

Best Band Award
The best marching band will also receive a plaque and a €50 Orio Center Gift Card.

Prize Delivery
Prizes will be awarded at the end of the parade to the float or group representative, upon presentation of the registration and payment receipt.
In the absence of these documents, the prize will not be assigned.

Please indicate the exact dimensions in terms of length, width, and height. The maximum allowed dimensions for floats are: height 4.50 m – width 4.00 m – length 12.00 m. Larger dimensions will not be permitted, as the floats must pass through narrow streets and/or passages.

Floats, groups, and bands that will perform music must INDICATE in the registration form the list of songs performed and the name of the composer. SIAE fees will be covered by the organization.

Are there any lighting elements?*
Are there any acoustic devices, CD players, MP3 players, radios, amplifiers, microphones, or other equipment?*
Are there any writings or advertising logos?*

It is strictly forbidden to have a float with banners, images, writings, or logos that advertise a commercial business.

I declare that the vehicle used as a float is properly registered and complies with all road traffic regulations, both in terms of vehicle safety and valid circulation documents (insurance, road tax).*

In the event of a false declaration, the Ducato di Piazza Pontida shall not be held responsible for any fines related to non-compliance with proper vehicle circulation requirements.

REGISTRATION FOR THE “LA ÈGIA PIÖ BÈLA 2026” CONTEST
Do you have a member of your group representing the “Ègia” for the contest?*

On the occasion of the Mezza Quaresima Festival, the Ducato di Piazza Pontida organizes the 10th contest entitled “La Ègia piö Bèla 2026”. The contest will take place during the show on Saturday, March 14, starting at 8:30 p.m., in Piazzale Matteotti, and before the solemn “Rasgamènt” ceremony. In case of bad weather, the election of the “Ègia” will be held at the Oriocenter Shopping Mall. Each group and/or float that registers and takes part in the traditional Mezza Quaresima parade, scheduled for Sunday, March 15, is required to participate in the contest by presenting a representative disguised as an “Ègia”. All floats and groups taking part in the parade are required to participate in the “La Ègia piö Bèla 2026” contest.
