Nel 1955, Don Bepo Vavassori ottenne un mutuo decisivo per realizzare il sogno di un nuovo quartiere a Bergamo, il Villaggio degli Sposi. Il suo coraggio e il senso di responsabilità verso la comunità ispirano ancora oggi. Come lui, anche Andrea Gibellini, figura di spicco della Banca Popolare di Bergamo, ha messo le proprie competenze al servizio del territorio, contribuendo alla crescita culturale e sociale della città, sempre con autorevolezza e umanità.

La Tremana minacciata. Lasciamo libero il sentiero!

Gli abitanti di Monterosso si mobilitano per salvare l'accesso alla valle della Tremana, un luogo ricco di storia e natura, oggi minacciato dalla costruzione di una villa. In poche ore raccolte oltre 600 firme. Il torrente Tremana, un tempo cuore pulsante del paesaggio bergamasco, è oggi in parte intubato e dimenticato. Il sogno è farlo rinascere: restituirgli il suo corso naturale e proteggere il bosco che lo circonda.

Nel 1980, Andrea Gibellini accettò la nomina a Duca di Piazza Pontida, trasformando il Ducato in una realtà dinamica e inclusiva. Con esperienza, visione e un innato senso della comunità, portò avanti iniziative culturali, sociali e popolari, coinvolgendo istituzioni e cittadini. Un uomo di banca e di popolo, che ha saputo unire rigore e umanità, lasciando un’impronta ancora oggi viva nella memoria bergamasca.

Smiciatöt - XI Duke of Piazza Pontida

"The eleventh Duke in the history of the Ducato is our Mario Morotti, former treasurer of the Ducato. He will be called «Smiciatöt Ü'», a name inspired by the history of the association and the life of Giacinto Gambirasio, Ducal poet and one of the most respected editors of the periodical Giopì, who signed his works as «Gambì Smiciatöt». The nickname does not mean ‘curious,’ but rather a careful observer of Bergamasque social life and, consequently, a constructive critic.
