Saturday 14 March event suspended. Sunday 15 March parade confirmed.

The Ducato di Piazza Pontida informs citizens and participants that, due to the adverse weather conditions forecast, the event scheduled for Saturday 14 March 2026 has been suspended.

This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of participants, the groups involved, and the public.

The traditional Mezza Quaresima Parade will instead take place as scheduled on Sunday 15 March 2026, starting promptly at 3:00 PM.

As tradition dictates, the parade will pass through the streets of the city, featuring allegorical floats, folkloric groups, music, and colors that every year bring to life one of the most distinctive events of Bergamo’s traditions.

The day will conclude at 8:00 PM with the traditional final show of the “Rasgamènt de la Ègia”, one of the most anticipated moments of the celebration.

The Ducato invites citizens and visitors to join in large numbers on Sunday to experience together this historic tradition of the city of Bergamo.
