About the play
Written by Fabrizio Dettamanti, I Miràcoi del Frà Sircòt is a three-act comedy centred on love, family interests and a series of amusing misunderstandings.
Mrs. Marenghi, a wealthy widow, wants her daughter Lucilla to marry an elderly engineer for financial reasons. However, Lucilla is secretly in love with Lorenzo, and the two young lovers are prevented from meeting by her mother's strict rules.
With the help of the cheerful Friar Eusebio and the loyal housekeeper Fosca, a succession of "miracles", comic situations and unexpected twists gradually leads the story towards a joyful and heartwarming ending.

The Il Sottoscala di Luigi Colombo Theatre Company from Rosciate is one of the most respected dialect theatre groups in the Bergamo area.
